What is the role of a First Contact Practitioner (FCP)?
First contact practitioners are registered health professionals in muscular and bone related health problems.
They can offer telephone, video and face to face appointments at Bodmin road health centre.
Common conditions they manage include sciatica, osteoarthritis and tendinopathy.
They can order x-rays and other radiological tests for further assessment.
They can advise on physiotherapy and other treatments. In some cases they can organise and administer joint injections.
